Movies began using the resort and the parks as settings. That didn’t stop production at the resort, however. By 2005, Nickelodeon had relocated to California. This shift away from live studio was also seen over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The state did not have the same infrastructure you’d expect to become a new central hub for show biz. However, the movie industry wasn’t exactly booming in Florida by comparison to California. The first produced at the resort was the less-than-lucrative Psycho IV: The Beginning. Universal Orlando operated as a film studio for a while. I’m sure many readers can recall the “……was filmed in front of a live studio audience in Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida ” message before many of their favourite shows. Universal Orlando Resort on the other hand always intended on having the two working in tandem. Its sister park in Hollywood was originally exclusively a film studio, before turning towards themed entertainment. In fact, there have been multiple movies filmed at Universal Studios, as well as in the parks.

Peele’s three movies, including “Get Out,” were produced through Universal Pictures, a subsidiary of the company that operates Universal Studios Hollywood. It’s no surprise that Universal Orlando Resort would have a history with the movie industry. No existing scene will be removed from the tram ride to make way for the latest addition, according to park representatives.

The trams will drive past what is known in “Nope” as Jupiter’s Claim, a family-fun theme park that becomes a pivotal location as the horror film’s characters investigate unexplained phenomena. A scene from the movie will be added that day to the Studio Tour attraction that gives parkgoers a tram ride through several movie sets, including the 1975 classic “Jaws.” The latest Universal Pictures movie directed by Peele, “Nope,” is set to open July 22. At Disney California Adventure Park, a 12-acre expansion called Cars Land opened in 2012, a year after the Disney Pixar sequel, “Cars 2,” opened in theaters. A few months after Jordan Peele’s 2019 horror movie, “Us,” was released by Universal Pictures, Universal Studios Hollywood added a Halloween attraction to its annual Halloween Horror Nights event. Last year, Disneyland completed and opened an overhaul of its Jungle Cruise attraction around the same time the Disney movie “Jungle Cruise” was opening in theaters.
